VP of Finance, New Ventures
Ken brings to Flagship Pioneering more than 20 years of finance and operations experience in the industry, having built, led and advised life science companies.
Before joining the firm, Ken served as the vice president of finance for Alzheon, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on neurodegenerative disorders. During his tenure at Alzheon, Ken was responsible for private and debt financings, strategic and operational planning and cash flow management. Prior to Alzheon, Ken was vice director and senior project manager for group planning and special projects at Roche, where he provided financial analysis in support of the company’s long-range business plan. Earlier, Ken was vice president of finance and global operations at mtm laboratories AG, an in-vitro diagnostics company (acquired by Roche). In this role, he was responsible for finance and sales operations. Ken also held positions of increasing responsibility with life science companies ViaCell, Cytyc Corporation and Boston Scientific Corporation.
Ken earned his M.B.A. from Babson College and his B.S. in accounting and finance from Roger Williams University.
