Daniel Jacobs
Vice President, CMC Strategy & Operations
Daniel joined Flagship Pioneering in 2022. As Vice President of CMC Operations Management for Pioneering Medicines, he works with internal and external partners to develop and implement operational strategies across Pioneering Medicines, Flagship ecosystem partners, and external suppliers.
Daniel brings more than 14 years of industry experience leading strategy and operations activities across development and commercial manufacturing organizations. He has been responsible for forming, leading, and managing international teams and strategic partnerships focused on product strategy, global supply chain development, and manufacturing operations to ensure long-term viability in supplying medicines to patients.
Before joining Flagship, Daniel was at Takeda Pharmaceuticals where he held varying roles in strategy and operations throughout R&D and Commercial Manufacturing and Supply. Most recently, he led multiple global product teams which oversaw global manufacturing operations strategy, including life-cycle management for products within Takeda’s Oncology, Rare Disease, and GI portfolios including the Livtencity® program which successfully launched in the U.S. in late 2021. Prior to Takeda, Daniel spent the first part of his career as a paralegal working at law firms of varying size and in-house within the General Counsel’s office at MIT.
Daniel earned his B.A. in Economics and Legal Studies from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his M.B.A. from Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
