John Orlando

John Orlando is a Senior Director at Flagship Pioneering where he focuses on venture debt and equipment leasing. He leads the effort to source venture debt facilities for Flagship Enterprise companies and acts in an advisory mode supporting Flagship Ecosystem companies on their venture debt needs. John’s commercial banking experience and relationships within the venture lending community provide unique perspective to help manage credit facilities and lender relationships across Flagship’s portfolio.

Prior to joining Flagship, John was a Vice President in the Life Sciences Commercial Banking Group at J.P. Morgan and he held a similar position within Pacific Western Bank’s Venture Banking Group. Previously, John served as a Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst at BMO Capital Markets and as a Credit Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

John holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Boston College.
