Lisa Samuel

Lisa Samuel joined Flagship Pioneering in 2021 as an Associate Director of Sourcing. In this role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for Flagship portfolio companies and origination teams and is focused on finding the best candidates to drive company growth and advance therapeutic and sustainability programs.

Lisa brings more than 18 years of agency and in-house biotech executive search expertise to her role. Prior to joining Flagship, Lisa was a Senior Sourcing Partner for Alioth, a retained search firm, where she worked with Moderna and other emerging companies to hire physician executives. Prior to Alioth, she held roles at Ipsen and Spark Therapeutics. While at Spark, she helped to more than double the number of its employees, from 150 to 360 in under two years, which supported its successful IND filing and approval and eventual sale to Roche.

Before her career in executive search, she was an award-winning sales executive for Abbott Diagnostics and Ethicon Endo-Surgery (Johnson and Johnson). She holds a B.A. in Journalism and English from Lock Haven University
