Mark Stevenson

Mark Stevenson joined Flagship Pioneering in 2024 as a Senior Partner. In this role, he helps advance Flagship’s Enabling Technologies Initiative and works closely with senior leaders to conduct explorations in this area. Mark also supports Flagship’s Global Engagement work in the UK to build opportunities within and beyond the enabling technologies initiative.

Mark brings 30 years of senior leadership experience in life science technology companies. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, President and Chief Operating Officer at Life Technologies, and President and Chief Operating Officer at Applied Biosystems.

Mark serves on the boards of Ingersoll Rand, Harbinger Health and Ultima Genomics and is a Senior Advisor to General Atlantic growth equity.

He received his MBA from Henley Management School and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Reading, both in the U.K.
