Zack Jones

Zack Jones joined Flagship Pioneering in 2023 as Associate Director, Modeling and Simulation for Pioneering Medicines. Zack leverages computational models to inform early drug discovery and development decision making for therapeutic agents developed by Pioneering Medicines and its partners.

Prior to joining Flagship, Zack was a modeling and simulation scientist in the clinical pharmacology group at Amgen for 5 years where he developed models to inform project teams on dose projections ranging from first in human through life cycle management, primarily in the cardiovascular disease space. Before Amgen, he trained as a postdoctoral research associate at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital under the direction of Dr. Clinton Stewart where he worked on optimizing combination therapy dosing strategies for children with a rare variant of medulloblastoma.

Zack is an active member of the International Society of Pharmacometrics and involved in a cross-industry effort to inform best practices for concentration-QT analyses and modeling.

Zack received his Ph.D. in Computational Science from Middle Tennessee State University and his B.S. in Mathematics and Biology from Lincoln Memorial University.
