Anand is an accomplished industry executive with significant large-pharma drug development, bioinformatics, scientific research, and clinical experience. Prior to joining Flagship, Anand was at EMD Serono for five years, where he most recently served as Senior Medical Director, Neurology & Immunology. Prior to this, he gained broad clinical, research and bioinformatics experience at Washington University where he was most recently Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine. During his 11-year tenure at the University, he served many roles including pediatric pulmonologist, airway epithelial biologist, immunobiologist, and bioinformatician—roles that significantly informed his desire to bring new, efficacious therapies to patients through precision medicine and clinical development.
Anand was awarded his M.D. from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center and completed his pediatrics residency at SUNY Stony Brook and his training in Pediatric Pulmonology at the Washington University School of Medicine/St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
